What is MIA Beach Soccer Clinic?
The MIA Beach Soccer Clinic is an exclusive training opportunity hosted by MIA Elite Academy, designed for young athletes born between 2014 and 2016. This clinic, led by Takasuke Goto, a former Japan National Team player, will take place on January 5th, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM at Waikiki Beach. It is the only opportunity for children in Hawaii to learn beach soccer techniques from a seasoned professional at the highest level. This clinic provides a unique environment to enhance skills, learn from an expert, and experience the sport of beach soccer in one of Hawaii’s most iconic locations.
Introduction of Takasuke Goto
Takasuke Goto is a renowned professional beach soccer player and former member of the Japan National Beach Soccer Team. Born on June 4, 1985, in Japan, Goto has had an illustrious career, becoming one of the leading figures in international beach soccer. Over the years, he has achieved significant success, including being the top scorer in numerous competitions such as the AFC Asian Beach Soccer Championship, the USA Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup.
In addition to his athletic prowess, Goto has played for top beach soccer clubs worldwide, including teams in Italy, Brazil, Portugal, and Israel. He has also contributed to Japan’s national team success in multiple FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups and Asian Beach Games. His legacy includes being the first Asian player to complete a full overseas transfer to a European club and scoring 10 goals in the World Cup, the most for any Japanese player at the time.
